I first became interested in Radiology whilst observing CT scanning on a surgical elective in Newfoundland, Canada in 1998. I worked as a clinician in Edinburgh and Sydney, Australia, returning to the UK in 2004 to start training in Radiology. I developed an interest in musculoskeletal radiology early on, which complemented my sporting interests. After completing a specialist musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, I worked as a consultant radiologist at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, which has excellent orthopaedic and radiology departments.
More recently I have been working at Cirencester Hospital, and for GP Care throughout Gloucestershire. Whilst working for GP Care, many patients commented that they liked having ultrasound scans more locally. This gave me the idea of trying to provide a more local and personal ultrasound scan service. I also report MRI and CT scans, which can be arranged via Cobalt Health in Cheltenham, on request from your local health professional.

After qualifying from the University of Bristol in 1996, I began my career as a GP. I developed an interest in musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries, and subsequently trained in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the University of Bath.
I have a wide range of input for elite athletes and professional performers including screening, health promotion and performance enhancement, illness and injury prevention, diagnosis and management of injuries, through to return to full fitness.
My particular interests are: running, football, the genetics of athletic performance, and health promotion to limits the effects of ageing.
I also make regular use of diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections, and I am proactive in referral for more specialised treatment and imaging.
